I received a lovely welcome and the room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was unfussy and I liked the homemade jam.
I was traveling with two dogs and the garden at the back was perfect for them to let off a bit of steam.

We stayed with whole family in the Family Room. Location was really nice and easy to get there. The breakfast was good with large variety of products and upon request, also got lactose free options.
Stuff were really friendly and attending to our needs. We also got a cot for our baby. In General we were happy with a stay.

Nice hotel to stay for one or two nights. Breakfast was pretty good with a wide choice of meals. The room is quiet; all you can hear at night is the sound of passing trains in the distance, which kind of helps you fall asleep. The morning view of the Rhein with passing ships and trains is outstanding. Had no issues with the wifi.

Boppard is a charming place and I have visited many times in the past. It is easy to reach via train from Frankfurt and a good base to explore further by train, Mainz, Cologne, Koblenz and Bonn are all within a 2 hour train ride. Unless you really want to you do not need to hire a car as there is plenty to see via public transport. It's an area which seems more popular with mainland European than UK travellers but it doesn't feel overcrowded or overly busy, it has an interesting centre with lots of nice cafes, ice cream parlours and independent shops. Along the riverfront are several excellent restaurants. The Roman remains are interesting and we spent our only wet afternoon at the museum, which was also interesting and free with the Guest card. The fact that the guest card entitles you to free public transport within the area is a huge bonus and we also made use of the discount on KD cruises with a trip back from Rüdesheim to Oberwesel and then back to Boppard on the train. 5 days to a week is the perfect length of time here and allows for some real relaxation as well as new things to see.Rachel - 10Scored 10

Boppard is a lovely town with very nice places to eat and drink. There is planty to see and do - we went on the chair lift to Gedeonseck, a viewpoint high above the river with a very nice bar / restaurant - take your binoculars! It is also a good base for walking or cycling in the area. The town is well served by means of getting about, there is a regular train service to Koblenz and Mainz (well worth it just for the views) and also frequent river cruises in both directions. There is also a place you can hire bicycles (including electric ones). Although Boppard doesn't have its own castle, there are a number within easy reach such Castle Katz and Casle Maus (near St Goarshausen).

Bad Salzig - I only needed one night to get to Koblenz on the next day, there is not much I can tell about Bad Salzig as such. However, a long walk through the park (towards the hills south west) proved that Bad Salzig deserves the "Bad" in the name.KSiebelGermany - 10Scored 10

Boppard is right on the Rhine and in the middle of the Rhine wine country. Many tour boats are based in Boppard and the Regional Train stops here and at every other little town between Koblenz and Mainz. This means you can easily visit all the wineries and never have to worry about driving; so enjoy! There are many good restaurants in Boppard also. But many do not take credit cards, so be sure to ask before you sit if you need to use a credit card - and carry cash.JosephUnited States

Rooms are nice-sized and I was given the rooms I requested (traveling with family). Top floor rooms, facing the river, opening out to a large shared balcony. Unfortunately there was no patio furniture out there anymore (end of October) so we couldn't take advantage of that. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good and breakfast staff are extremely attentive. Bar is cozy. Huge garage where we could store our bikes.Janet M DGermany

The room was updated, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious as usual and of course the breakfast was super! While this hotel isn't down by the river in Boppard, the hospitality of the owners makes it worth the trip up the hill to stay there.

We arrived by train and found the apartment easily within walking distance. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a weeks stay.
