This was one of the best hostels l have ever stayed at because it felt like real home. The place is clean and beautiful with many art images around and feels safe. The manager of hostel is very kind and it’s a great atmosphere all around. The location is good, you need walk uphill for few minutes but for me that was not an issue. l can recommend if you are looking for a hostel with character that feels like being at home.
The location is perfect and in a safe area, so it‘s a good place to explore Rio. The hostel has a bar, where you can hang out, meet new people and have some drinks, between 20:00 - 20:30 there‘s free caipirinhas all you can drink, in combination with party vibes, so it‘s good pre-gaming. Staff is super helpful, Tai is an angel, you can always ask for recommendations. Also, everyday they organize events that one can join.
Best hostel for meeting people
The best hostel I stayed in in Rio! The staff is super amazing, always ready to help and super friendly (special thanks to Davi who saved me in so many situations). There is AC but the temperature can be adapted, so that you don't need to freeze to death like in so many other Rio hostels, also very good daily cleaning. There is also a common area to chill and meet people and the hostel is located in a safe area, close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets.
It is important to put the whole review in the context of the New Year's party. The whole copacabana is exorbitantly expensive, so the prices for the two-bed rooms here were at a level where you can sometimes go to a 5* hotel in europe. Accordingly, it was disappointing to sleep on plasticised beds and plasticised pillows. All in all, however, it is a very nice hostel, in a great location, safe and with lots of activities.
The hostel is in a great location - less than a five minute walk from ipanema beach and close to loads of shops. The area around the hostel also felt super safe. The showers were hot and the food at the bar was decent. There is also an area on the rooftop for people to chill and there’s also a kitchen up there.
If you are looking for a very cheap hostel and have a high frustration tolerance, you can sleep well there. The area also seemed very safe and it was not far to the metro.
We stayed in one of their private rooms and the bed was really comfy and the shower was excellent! Great location for exploring Rio and felt safe walking as a couple to and from the hostel both during the day and at night. Staff were excellent and really helpful - in particular Victor and Matt who helped us arrange one of their tours (they have loads of tour options which is awesome as well!) and had some great local recommendations too.
Very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great. Overall a very pleasant experience and one of the best hostels I have stayed in. There’s good size lockers and each has a safe inside.
